The
Necton research society was born with the
aim of realizing studies and researches
on sea environment and its biotic and non
biotic components. In particular, Necton
aims at developing evaluation projects of
fish/icthyic resources, as well as research
applied to the fishing
activities, environment monitoring, environment
impact evaluation, cognitive investigations,
management plans of Protected Sea Areas,
research applied to water breeding and sea
breeding, etc.
Besides
a strictly scientific activity, Necton develops
activities whose objective is the management
of technical services concerning activities
linked to the sea and the implemantation
and/or the management and/or the promotion
of environment recovery programs. It also
provides technical and/or scientific support
aimed at the study and/or management of
Protected Sea Areas and realizes vocational
training projects concerning sea environment
issues, scientific spreading, environment
education, developing and promoting initiatives
for the revaluation of the culture and traditions
linked to the sea.
